FEATURED MEMBER
Pat Miller
Patricia Miller exemplifies the potential of public school education when parents and teachers collaborate. Raised by hardworking parents, she learned the value of community service early on, participating in activities like Brownies, Girl Scouts, and church events. In 1996, her neighbor introduced her to ABWA Homestead, where she began as the Corresponding Secretary on the chapter board. Over time, she held positions such as Vice President, President, and various Committee Chair roles. Through ABWA she was also introduced to an organization called Women of Tomorrow, started by former newscaster Jennifer Valopi. This organization utilized professional women to mentor high school girls. The joy of running into several of the students who tell her of the impact that she had on their lives can’t be measured.
Patricia’s favorite quote is “Tough Times Don’t Last, But Tough People Do.”
